India’s auto giant Mahindra Group has ventured into higher education sector with great plans to set a new paradigm for higher education in the country. The auto major has just launched Mahindra University, and claims they will develop multi-skilled leaders with a true spirit of innovation and futuristic world view.
MU or Mahindra University has plans to integrate science and technology with arts, ethics, and philosophy.

“We will ensure holistic development of students with a mix of concepts such as Emotional Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence,” according to a statement issued by the university.
MU is part of the Mahindra Educational Institutions (MEI), subsidiary of Tech Mahindra. “The university will focus more on entrepreneurial projects to solve complex challenges in society and strive to produce a hyper-skilled, future-ready talent pool,” the statement added.
The university is based in Hyderabad, and offers offer undergraduate, post graduate and PhD courses

Vineet Nayyar, chairman, Mahindra Educational Institutions, said that there is a need for a dynamic approach to education and it goes beyond business and is at par with the technological demands of the industry globally. He also emphasized the point of holistic education with special focus on innovation and entrepreneurship.
Meanwhile CP Gurnani, MD & CEO, Tech Mahindra said, “The Mahindra University will bridge the skill gap and create global leaders who are willing to adapt and transform according to the industry requirements.”
He also added that the university will leverage the power of Artificial Intelligence and Emotional Intelligence. .
