A few days ago, Xiaomi India boss Manu Kumar Jain got a request on LinkedIn to help an auto-rickshaw driver in Chennai. His name is Thampi, and he has been striving hard to give the best of education to his daughters, inspite of the financial crisis.
Now, Xiaomi India MD shared a personal note on Facebook that the XiaomiIndia team met Thampi’s family and gave his daughters two mobile phones for their online classes.
Education is the most fundamental right
“We are discussing how we could further help support their studies,” said Manu Kumar Jain.
He also added that the purpose of life is to smile and make others smile. “To help others and be useful in making their lives better.“ Education is the most fundamental right,” he said.
He also expressed willingness to help anyone with genuine cause in these troubled times. “Please let me know. If genuine, would love to help,” said Jain.
